Soap Saver
Materials Needed:  Small amount of worsted weight cotton yarn, size H crochet hook, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Make 2

Row 1:  Ch 15, DC in 4th ch from hook and each ch across.  (13 dc) (Right side)

Row 2:  Ch 1, turn. (sc, 2dc) in first dc, skip next 2 dc, *(sc, 2dc) in next dc, skip next 2 dc*  Repeat * across. Sc in in top of beg ch.

Row 3:  Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), turn.  Dc in each stitch across. (13 dc)

Repeat rows 2 and 3 THREE more times. 

Last Row:  Ch 1, turn, sc in same st and each st across (13 sc)

Finish off first piece, DO NOT FINISH OFF SECOND PIECE.

Joining: 
Row 1:  With wrong sides facing, join two pieces together.  Ch 1, sc in same space, SC evenly around long side, then bottom, then long side.  Join with a sl st to 1st sc. (DO NOT Join together the rows of sc across the top).

Row 2:  Working in top row of piece,  Ch 5 (counts as 1st dc and ch 2 space). Skip next sc, * dc in next sc, ch 2*  Repeat * around.  Join with a sl st to 3rd ch of beg ch 5.

Row 3:  Sl st in first ch 2 sp.  Ch 2 (counts as hdc) 3hdc in same space, Work 4 hdc in each remaining ch 2 space.  Join with a sl st to 2nd ch of beg ch 2.  Finish off and weave in ends.

TIE:  Ch 100, sl st in each ch to end.  Finish off and weave in ends.

Finishing:  Staring in center,  weave in tie through every other space made by row 2. Tie with a bow.
