Bathroom Set
Materials Needed:  Sport Weight (SW) Cotton ( I used Bernat Handicrafter's Cotton) 2 balls (1 3/4 oz.) of 2 different colors.  Options to do these pieces in Worsted Weight (WW) cotton:  2 five oz. balls of 2 different colors.  Size E hook (SW) or size I hook (WW).  Yarn needle for weaving in ends.Facecloth:With SW cotton and E hook, ch 43Row 1:  YO, insert hook in 4th ch from hook (skipped chains count as hdc and ch 1 sp).  draw up a loop, skip next ch, YO and insert hook in next ch, draw up a loop, YO and draw through all 5 loops on hook (HDC Cluster made), Ch 1.  ** YO, insert hook in same ch as cluster just completed, draw up a loop, skip next ch, YO and insert hook in next ch, draw up a loop, YO and draw through all 5 loops on hook, ch 1.**  Repeat ** across to last ch.  HDC in last ch.Row 2:  Ch 3 (counts as HDC and ch 1 sp), turn. ** Work HDC Cluster in next ch 1 sp and in cluster of previous row, ch 1.**  repeat ** across to last st.  HDC in 2nd ch of turning ch 3.Repeat:  Repeat row 2 until piece measures about 7 inches (I did a total of 20 rows of clusters).Edging:Rnd 1:  Ch 1, turn, 3 sc in same st.  SC evenly around, working 3 sc in each corner.  Note:  When working the sides, I found it easier and more even to work 2 sc in each space made by the turning ch space.  Join with a sl st to 1st sc.Rnd 2:  Ch 2, HDC in same st.  HDC in each sc around, working 3 hdc in the center sc of the corner 3 sc of previous row.  Finish off and weave in ends.Variation of edging (shown in blue facecloth on the picture page).Rnd 1:  Work same as round 1 above.  Finish off main colorRnd 2:  With Contrasting Color, Join with a sl st in any sc.  Ch 1, sc in same st, ch 3.  ** Skip next sc, sc in next sc, ch 3**  Repeat ** around.  Join with a sl st to 1st sc.Rnd 3:  Sl st in next ch 3 sp, LHDC (YO, insert hook in skipped sc of previous row, draw up a loop, yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook) in skipped sc of previous row, Work 5 hdc in next ch 3 sp.  **LHDC in skipped sc of previous row (over the ch 3 sp), work 5 hdc in next ch 3 sp.**  Repeat ** around.  Join with a sl st to 1st LJDC.  Finish off and weave in ends.If using WW cotton:  Ch 39 instead of 43.  Work piece until measures 9 inches. (took me 19 cluster rows.)Completed sizes:  SW cotton:  8x8 inches.  WW cotton:  10x10 inches.
   


  

Soap Sachet:With main color, ch 23.  If using WW cotton, ch 19.Work same as for facecloth for rows 1 and 2.Repeat row 2, ten more times.  Finish off, weave in ends.  Make 2 pieces like this.Joining:  Rnd 1:  With wrong sides facing, join contrasting color with a sl st in upper left hand corner.  Ch 1, sc in same st and evenly around working down the left side first.  Work 3 sc in each corner.  Again, I found it best to work 2 sc in each sp made by the hdc when working the sides.Rnd 2:  Ch 2, turn, hdc in same st, HDC around the 3 sides you just worked, working 3 hdc in the center sc of the corner 3 sc of previous row.Top:  Sl st to 1st st on top of piece.Rnd 3:  SC evenly around the top of the piece.  DO NOT join these two sides together.  Rnd 4:  ch 5 (counts as 1st dc and ch 2 sp), sk next sc, **dc in next sc, skip next sc**  Repeat ** around top of piece.  Join with a sl st to 3rd ch of beg ch 5.Rnd 5:  Sl st in 1st ch 2 sp.  In same sp work:  (sc-hdc dc) in next ch 2 sp work (dc-hdc-sc).  SC in next ch 2 sp.  **(sc-hdc-dc) in next ch 2 sp, (dc-hdc-sc) in next ch 2 sp, sc in next ch 2 sp.**  Repeat ** around.  Join with a sl st to 1st sc.  Finish off and weave in ends.Tie:  Ch 111, sl st in 1st ch from hook and each ch.  Finish off and weave in ends.  Weave tie through ch 2 spaces from round 4.  Tie as desired.

Toilet Tissue Hanging Holder:  Important!!!  Measure your toilet paper roll!!!  When making the length of this piece, add one inch more to the length than that of your toilet paper!!!With main color, ch 31.Repeat rows 1 and 2 of facecloth.  Repeat row 2 until piece measure 1 inch longer than the diameter of your toilet paper roll!  Finish off and weave in all ends.Edging:Rnd 1:   Join contrasting color with a sl st in last worked st.  Ch 1, turn.  3 sc in same st.  SC evenly around, working 3 sc in each corner.  Join with a sl st to 1st sc.Rnd 2:  Ch 2, HDC in same st.  HDC across the top of the piece working 3 hdc in the center sc of the 3 sc corner from the previous row.  After completing the 2nd corner, turn the piece.  Along the entire side of the piece work: sc in next st, hdc next st, dc next st, hdc next st, sc next st.  Repeat this sequence to the next corner (bottom of piece).  Work HDC next st, 3 hdc next st (should be the center sc of the 3 sc corner of previous row), HDC in remaining sc across the bottom of the piece and in the next corner, work one more hdc.  Along the last side of the piece work again the following sequence:  sc next st, hdc next st, dc next st, hdc next st, sc next st.  Join with a sl st to 1st hdc.Join:Row 1:  Fold the piece in half.  Join the top and bottom pieces together with a sl st.  Ch 1, sc in same st, sc next 26 stitches to join the pieces together.Row 2:  Ch 2, turn, hdc in same st and each st across.  27 hdc.Row 3:  Ch 2, turn.  HDC Dec over next 2 st, hdc across til last 2 st, hdc dec over last two st.  (25 hdc)Rows 4-12:  Repeat row 3 until you are down to 7 hdc.Row 13-15:  Ch 2, turn, hdc in same st and each across (7 hdc).  Set aside.Ring:  Using 2 inch plastic ring and main color.  Join color with a sl st, ch 1, sc around entire ring.  Join with a sl st to 1st sc.Ch 2, hdc in same st and next 7 st.  Finish off and weave in ends.Join:  Matching ring and towel holder together and picking back up from round 15, join the two pieces together with a sl st, sc together the two pieces.  Finish off and weave in ends.Flower:  With main color, ch 6, join with a sl st to form a ring.Rnd 1:  ch 1, 12 sc in ring.  Join with a sl st to BLO of  1st sc.Rnd 2:  Working in BLO, ch 3, dc in same st,  work 2 dc in each st around working in BLO.  Join with a sl st to 3rd ch of beg ch 3.Rnd 3:  ch 3, again, working in BLO, 2 dc in next dc, **dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc**  Repeat ** around.  Join with a sl st to 3rd ch of beg ch 3.  Finish off, weave in ends. Rnd 4:  Working in Front loops from round 2:  Join contrasting color with a sl st in any loop.  Ch 1, **(sc-hdc dc) in same loop, (dc-hdc-sc) in next loop, sc in next loop.**  Repeat ** around.  Join with a sl st to 1st sc.  Finish off and weave in ends.Attach to front of toilet paper holder matching yarn colors.
